Description of the Arjan district

The Arjan community is part of the Dubiland project in Dubai. The district is being built up according to the concept of a “city within a city”, so there is everything you need for a comfortable life. Arjan is located at the intersection of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and Umm Suqeim Road. In the north, the district borders the community of Al Barsha South. Dubai Motor City and Dubai Autodrome are nearby. The area of Arjan is 900,000 sq.m.

The Arjan district began to be built in 2006 with the participation of several developers, including the developer Dubai Property. The territory is dominated by low residential complexes with private and apartment buildings, there are also commercial buildings. You can dine in a relaxed atmosphere at the Mad Kitchen restaurant. Burgers, fries, onion rings, pasta, and chicken wings cooked in an Indian manner are served here. Another option for dinner is Grill Castle Restaurant. The menu offers a variety of grilled dishes.

Places of cultural recreation

There are no museums in the Arjan district. However, in the neighboring community, several cultural attractions may interest tourists. One of them is the Masjed JVC Mosque with a strikingly beautiful and unique architecture.

On the territory of Arjan, there is a well—known Dubai Garden of Wonders called Dubai Miracle Garden. This is the largest flower garden in the world, the park covers an area of 72000 sq.m. In this garden, you can see flower arrangements and unique structures decorated with various flowers. The main attraction of Dubai Miracle Garden is exact replicas of famous buildings made of flowers. Many castles and houses are made in full size. In total, more than 50 million plants have been planted here. Tourists are attracted to the scale and concepts of the exhibitions, as well as the heart-shaped arch on the Alley of Love.

Another popular object of the Arjan district is Butterfly Garden. The Butterfly Garden is located on the territory of Miracle Garden and is considered the largest in the UAE. It is home to more than 15,000 species of butterflies. Nine domes with a total area of 2,600 sq.m. are located in the garden, and an ideal environment for insect life is created inside them. Other activities in the district

Dubai Autodrome is located almost next to the border of Arjan district, in Motor City. The autodrome regularly hosts superbike races, as well as various automotive events. You can also go karting here.

Near Arjan, there is also the Dubai International Stadium, an international cricket stadium. You can get to it in about 9 minutes by car. It takes the same amount of time to get to the Arabian Ranches Golf Club. There is an 18-hole golf course on its landscaped grounds. • a large number of green spaces. There are two parks on the territory of the community, the Garden of Wonders and the Butterfly Garden, and in general, the area is green and environmentally friendly. This is a good solution for a couple with a child;
• educational infrastructure. There are several schools in the area. There is a wider choice of educational institutions in neighboring communities;
• good transport links. It is easy to get anywhere in Dubai from the district. The community is adjacent to the main highway connecting Dubailand with other parts of the city;
• proximity to beaches. Within a 15-minute drive, you can reach the coastline, Palm Jumeirah Island, and popular beaches.

Kindergartens

There are no kindergartens on the territory of Arjan yet, but with the advent of new residential complexes, this issue is likely to be resolved positively. Many kindergartens in the nearby communities can also be attended by children living in Arjan.

Schools

With schools in Arjan, things are much better than with kindergartens. On the territory, there are several educational institutions for children starting from the age of 6, including:

• Safa Senior School.

Safa Senior School is a public school located 2 minutes from the central part of the community. Here children can get basic, primary and secondary education. Teachers at this school work according to the curriculum of the British and International Baccalaureate.

Many locals send their children to the Nord Anglia International School with a British curriculum. The institution is a 6-minute drive from the center of the district. The school provides comfortable classrooms, scientific laboratories, assembly halls, a library, a swimming pool, and a football field.

Universities

There are no higher education institutions on the territory of the Arjan community. The nearest universities are located in Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City. You can get to them by car or by public transport in about 20 minutes.

Health care

Medical services are available to residents near the house. There is a 7 Dimensions Medical Center clinic in the Arjan district. Here, you can avail not only general but also specialized services: undergo physiotherapy, work with a speech therapist, schedule chiropractic sessions, or engage in sports medicine treatments.

There is another hospital on the territory — Mediclinic Parkview Hospital. In the clinic, you can get urgent medical care. There are also several pharmacies in the area. There are also many medical institutions in the neighboring community of Dubai Motor City: Medicentres, Prime, Emirates Hospital, HealthBay, etc. The journey takes no more than 10 minutes.

There are two veterinary clinics in the Arjan community. You can show your pet to a veterinarian at the  Eleven Veterinary Clinic or Vetcare Veterinary Medical Center.

Transportation

The Arjan district has a well-developed road network. Most locals use private cars. Tourists can use rented transport. Each residential complex has spacious parking lots.

The F36 bus runs through the community. Its route runs from Arjan to the Mall of the Emirates. There are several bus stops within the community.

Even though the area is remote from the central part of Dubai, the road to popular sites by car does not take much time:

• Dubai Autodrome, Arabian Ranches Golf Club, Plantation Equestrian and Polo Club only take 10 minutes to get to;
• Palm Jumeirah, Global Village, IMG Worlds of Adventure, Burj Al Arab will take no more than 15 minutes;
• Mall of the Emirates, Burj Khalifa, Downtown Dubai around 20 minutes.

It takes 25-30 minutes to drive from the district to the international airports DXB and Al Maktoum.

Places for socialization

To meet new people and expand your social circle, you should attend events in Dubai. In the Arjan district, entertainment and educational events are most often held in the Miracle Garden.

You can find like-minded people in other popular places among the locals as well, ranging from bars to parks, playgrounds, and fitness centers, depending on the specific interests of the immigrant.

Employment opportunities

Vacancies in the Arjan district mainly relate to the service sector. It is not difficult to find a job here as a salesman, hairdresser, masseur, waiter, cook, cleaner, or janitor. For business people, employment is also available in this community, but not so many offices are concentrated here. It is best to look for a job in an office or a company in neighboring districts.

Shopping Malls

A large shopping mall has not yet been built in Arjan. Perhaps for the reason that there is a shopping and entertainment center with a food court very close by called My City Centre Al Barsha. You can get to it in just 3 minutes. The shopping mall features a large Carrefour supermarket, pharmacies, currency exchange points, banks, fashion brand stores, cafes, restaurants, and entertainment facilities. The Motor City community also has two branches the Carrefour supermarket and Spinney’s supermarket.

Arjan is a promising area of Dubai with residential and commercial real estate. A wide range of housing is available here: apartments, townhouses, and villas. Near residential complexes, there is the necessary infrastructure.

Arjan offers a peaceful and serene life, away from the hustle and bustle of the central part of Dubai. Indeed, Arabian Ranches is a suitable choice for those who appreciate tranquility and seek to raise their children in an atmosphere of stability and predictability.

The district is very well planned: there are many open spaces, pedestrian alleys and green areas on the territory. If the environmental component is an important value, it is worth paying attention to this community.

The Arjan community has good transport accessibility, but it is important to be prepared for possible traffic jams during rush hours. This is important for those who plan to live in Arjan and commute to work in the center of the emirate. The public transport system is still presented rather modestly but continues to expand.

Young families and aspiring professionals often pay attention to Arjan. The main reason is that the properties in this district are diverse and relatively inexpensive for both buying and renting.
