Al Maqam
Al Maqam is a culturally significant and prominent residential district located on the western outskirts of Al Ain, near the border with Abu Dhabi. It is widely recognized as an educational and healthcare hub, housing the main campus of United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) and the prestigious Tawam Hospital. The area holds a special place in Emirati history as it was the location of the Al Maqam Palace, a frequent residence of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The neighborhood features a mix of traditional Emirati villas and modern housing developments, offering a tranquil lifestyle with vast open spaces and easy access to the Al Ain–Abu Dhabi Road (E22).
