Al Marjan Island

Al Maqtaa (also spelled Al Maqta) is a historic gateway district in Abu Dhabi, located at the foot of the Maqta Bridge that connects Abu Dhabi Island to the mainland. It is one of the most picturesque areas in the capital, offering stunning views of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Al Maqta Fort, a 200-year-old monument that once guarded the entrance to the island. The neighborhood is home to Bain Al Jessrain (Between Two Bridges) and the popular waterfront destination The Souq at Qaryat Al Beri.
