Nakheel Presented the Dubai Islands Development Project
Real estate development company Nakheel, whose portfolio includes the legendary The Palm Jumeirah, has presented a new vision of the Dubai Islands, which will change the concept of life by the sea.
The project complies with the General Development Plan of Dubai till 2040. Dubai Islands will consist of five islands, a total area is 17 square kilometres, designed in a way to improve the quality of life for residents and visitors.
The Islands provide:
over 80 resort and hotel complexes, including luxury, family, eco-friendly, wellness;
shopping and entertainment centres;
more than 20 kilometres of beaches, including a Blue Flag beach;
public parks and open spaces over two kilometres long;
golf courses overlooking the Persian Gulf, etc.
The project supports Dubai’s intention to develop the tourism sector. Analysts note that the real estate market of the megapolis in general and the luxury segment, in particular, showed rapid growth in 2022 against the backdrop of an economic recovery.
«Dubai’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 5.9% during the first three months of 2022 after a record growth of 6.2% in 2021,” government data states.
Dubai Islands are located along the northern coast of Dubai and are easily accessed by land and water. The islands are close to the international airport, Dubai Creek, the Jumeirah neighbourhood and the city centre of Dubai.
