Jawazat Street

Jawazat Street, officially known as Sultan Bin Zayed The First Street (and historically known as 4th Street or Muroor Road), is one of the most vital and historic arteries in Abu Dhabi. The name "Jawazat" (meaning "Passports" in Arabic) stems from the fact that the old Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (Passport Office) was located here for decades, making it a landmark known to every resident. It is a high-density urban district that blends commercial power with affordable residential living, stretching from the Corniche area down toward the outskirts of the city.
